What is a CFP®?

CFP® professionals are held to strict ethical standards. What’s more, a CFP® professional must acquire several years of experience related to delivering financial planning services to clients and pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Exam before they can call themselves a CFP® professional. Financial planning is a dynamic process. Your financial goals may evolve over the years due to shifts in your lifestyle or circumstances such as an inheritance, career change, marriage, house purchase or a growing family. As you begin to consider how best to manage your financial future, you should feel confident knowing that with a CFP® professional, you’re working with someone committed to providing the high standard of financial planning.

At all times when providing Financial Advice to a Client, a CFP® professional must act as a fiduciary, and therefore, act in the best interests of the Client.

What is a CPWA®?

Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) is an advanced professional certification for advisors who serve high-net-worth clients. It’s designed for seasoned professionals who seek the latest, most advanced knowledge and techniques to address the sophisticated needs of clients with a minimum net worth of $5 million. At all times when providing Financial Advice to a Client, a CFP® professional must act as a fiduciary, and therefore, act in the best interests of the Client.

What kind of experiences should I expect to have as a client?

Clients that partner with BayView for Wealth Management services can benefit from the fact that their wealth manager utilizes a network of experts on their behalf. This results in lower costs (time, energy, and money) for the client while giving them cohesive and integrated planning, better customized investments and solutions, less breakdowns in communication, and more autonomies for clients to focus on what’s most important to them in living a meaningful life.

Do you have an account minimum?

In order to fulfill our promise to be a boutique firm that can give specialized attention to your family, we limit the total amount of families we work with. That way, we can address details when it comes to the challenges facing you and your family.

Our household minimum of $500,000 means that each family must possess $500,000 of investable assets for us to manage in order to have an ongoing relationship.

For clients of the St. Petersburg office, there is no household minimum.

How do you get paid?

For clients of the Destin office:

Financial Planning Cost – One-time charge of 10bps or 20bps of Investable Assets

A full financial plan includes investment analysis, retirement planning, risk management, asset protection, tax planning, and estate planning. The plans are stress tested for events such as market corrections, high interest rates, high tax rates, disability, long-term care stays, and premature death scenarios. The plan is adjusted and tracked over the course of our relationship to reflect life changes and adherence your goals in the plan.

Asset Management – The annual cost is 75 bps – 1% (asset size and composition dependent)

We would review your existing portfolio and provide an in-depth analysis of the allocation, asset quality, suitability, tax efficiency, and various risk characteristics. From there we will make recommendations to incorporate the existing portfolio into our investment philosophy which may include comprehensive strategies for income enhancement or downside protection. The cost is fully transparent and there may be some additional minor transaction fees for certain asset trades.

Hourly Consulting – $250.00 per hour (2 hour minimum per engagement)

If you don’t need Financial Planning or Asset Management and would like us to look at specific areas of your financial picture, we offer hourly consulting on current assets or analysis on individual topics at an hourly rate.

For clients of the St. Petersburg office:

Asset Management – The annual cost is 70 bps – 1.25% (asset size and composition dependent)

Consulting – $1,200 annually

Consulting services may include investment analysis, retirement planning, risk management, asset protection, tax planning, or estate planning. We assess your goals regarding each of these areas and can run various stress tests to include numerous unforeseen events such as market corrections, high interest rates, high tax rates, disability, long-term care stays, and premature death scenarios.

How will I be informed of how my investments are doing?

After becoming a client you and your advisor will agree to a review schedule that will be regularly followed and can be either in-person or virtual. Through your Fetch client portal you will have 24/7 access to reviewing balances, running performance reports for any time period as well as viewing activity. You will receive customized reports based on feedback you provide your advisor in determining what YOU want to see on a report, instead of a generic template most large companies offer. We will also periodically communicate with you by e-mail, phone call or text regarding portfolio or economic updates.

If I need to make a withdrawal from my investments, how long does it take to get my money?

In most cases depending on the investment type, a withdrawal request can be processed and arrive in your bank account in 2-3 business days. This of course is also dependent on your financial institution and their processes.

What is your investment philosophy? Do you attempt to “time” the market?
Who are the key partners who will help manage my relationship with BayView Private Wealth?

Are you able to work with my family remotely if we move to a new state in retirement?

From there we are capable of reviewing performance, account activity and investment holdings. Fetch also offers a “co-browse” option where the client and advisor can work together on the same screen, giving full visibility to any topics that need to be discussed in detail.
